The Shimano FX FC Reel is an all-round spinning reel for anglers starting out or keeping a close eye on spending. It is intended for freshwater and saltwater fishing, and the 2019 redesign replaced the earlier FX, AX and Hyperloop reels. It is Shimano’s lowest-priced reel.
Two ball bearings and a roller bearing work with Shimano gearing for smooth, reliable running. Its strong XT-7 body holds an AR-C long-cast spool made from aluminium rather than plastic, and a roller clutch is also fitted.
The Propulsion spool and Shimano Propulsion Line Management System are designed for longer casts, fewer wind knots and improved all-round performance. The range comes in 2500, C3000 and 4000 sizes.
