Length and Mesh
Most fisheries and match rules set a minimum keepnet length, commonly 3m for carp and 2.5m for silvers. Fine, soft mesh protects fins and scales, and carp safe mesh is required on many commercial venues.
Round or Rectangular
Rectangular nets give fish more room along the bank, while round nets suit deeper water and river swims. Our guide to the best landing net handles covers the other half of safe fish handling.
