The Savage Gear Fazor immediately impresses with its thoughtful construction and premium build quality. The carbon-reinforced composite body keeps the weight remarkably low without compromising structural integrity, whilst the precision-cut stainless steel gearing demonstrates excellent engineering.

The sealed ball bearing system eliminates any hint of wobble or play, creating a solid feel that inspires confidence. Particularly noteworthy is the one-piece SST handle, which provides rock-solid cranking power and feels significantly more stable than traditional two-piece designs.

In our testing, the Fazor's performance consistently exceeded expectations across various fishing scenarios. The carbon fibre drag system proved incredibly smooth and responsive, allowing for precise adjustments needed.

The tapered spool lip design genuinely enhances casting distance while effectively preventing wind knots (something I've always struggled with).
