Shimano Ultegra XR XSD 14000

Product Information

The Shimano Ultegra XR XSD 14000 is a big pit reel for long-range carp fishing and surfcasting. The lightweight Ci4+ composite body pairs a large spool with a compact shape, while RigidCast balances the strength and lightness of its main shaft, rotor and body during a cast.

Super Slow 5 Oscillation and Parallel Body reduce friction as line leaves the spool for greater distance and accuracy.

HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, Infinity Drive and Silent Drive work together for smooth, powerful rotation under heavy loads. Infinity Drive reduces friction and rotational torque, while X-SHIP supports the pinion gear at both ends to keep it aligned.

X-Protect combines water-repellent treatment with a labyrinth structure at the stopper bearing and line roller to resist water penetration.

A Hi-Speed Drag moves from free-spool to fight mode with a minimal turn of the knob, and Cross Carbon Drag gives a wider range of settings. It has a 4.3:1 gear ratio, 103cm line retrieve and 20kg maximum drag. The 14000 spool holds 550m of 0.35mm line, and the reel weighs 535g.
