Product Information
Long casts are the focus of Shimano’s Medium Baitrunner XTB Longcast Reel, which combines a large AR-C spool with slow oscillation and Aero Wrap II line lay. Together these are designed to give maximum casting distance, and the spool is cold forged.
X-Ship supports the pinion gear at two points with ball bearings for smooth power transfer and stable gearing.
Four shielded A-RB bearings sit inside the reel, while redesigned gears reduce friction between the long aluminium handle and rotor for more torque and winding power when playing fish.
Its 4.6:1 gear ratio is paired with an instant front drag, and Dyna Balance keeps the rotor steady on the retrieve. Floating Shaft II and Super Stopper II are built in, line reducers are supplied, and the reel weighs 790g.
