Product Information
The Shimano Baitrunner ST 2500 FB is the entry-level reel in Shimano's small Baitrunner range. It comes in the same sizes as the Baitrunner DL but with fewer ball bearings, and its Baitrunner system lets line run freely from the spool until the reel is engaged.
As the FB in its name shows, the reel has a front drag working alongside the Baitrunner lever. Varispeed line lay, Super Stopper II anti-reverse and an XT-7 body and rotor are among the design features Shimano builds into the ST range.
This 2500 size is made for feeder and bomb fishing on smaller waters when targeting carp or other hard-fighting fish. In the same range, the larger 4000 size has more power for general, pleasure and specialist fishing.
