The Shimano Aero Technium MgS Reel XSD 14000 brings Shimano’s latest reel technology together in a Big Pit format. A Hagane body with a magnesium frame keeps the reel light and tough, and the cold-forged Hagane gear is made for maximum strength.
Infinity Drive and Silent Drive add winding power, smoothness and durability. A single-piece titanium bail arm guides line onto the line roller and adds strength to the bail.
At the front, the 45mm spool uses Super Slow 10 line lay, putting 107 wraps of line down on each oscillation.
This even line lay is intended to release line in a straight path for longer, more precise casting, while Rigid Cast handles and controls the force applied through the cast.
