Second hand rod rests and butt grips
Here are second hand rod rests and butt grips from UK sellers. Front rests, rear grips and matched sets all sit in this category.
Check the threads for damage and the rubber grips for splits. Locking butt grips should still hold the rod firmly.
Small items like these post cheaply, and sets are common. Ask whether the listing includes enough rests for all your rods.
Grips that lock the rod in place stop it being pulled in on a fast take. Front rests with a wide cradle suit thicker blanks.
Matching the thread size to your bank sticks or buzz bars saves buying adapters. Most use a standard thread, but check older or unusual designs.
Rests are a simple item to buy second hand, as there is little to wear out. A full matching set keeps every rod at the same height.
