Westin W3 8-Braid 150m Smokey Grey
Product Information
Westin's W3 Smokey Grey is an all-round 8X braided line for sea-trout and saltwater fishing. Its 8X construction uses Japanese UHMPE fibres and it has a round profile. It comes in 150m spools from 0.08mm to 0.205mm diameter.
The braid has 32 weaves per inch and a Double Dura-Coating that makes it stiffer and more rigid, helping reduce wind knots when casting repeatedly into fierce onshore winds. The gel coating creates a hydrophobic, smoother surface, reduces water absorption and lowers friction.
Dye is soaked into the line and oven cured before a double gel coat seals the pigment for colour stability and longevity.
Breaking strains run from 7lb to 22lb, with PE ratings from 0.2 to 1.5 across the range. The 0.128mm, 0.148mm and 0.165mm lines carry 11lb, 13lb and 17lb ratings respectively. The 0.205mm line is rated to 22lb.
