The Shimano Tribal TX Ultra A Rod is the flagship Tribal carp rod for anglers who want maximum Shimano carbon technology in a dedicated long-range setup. It is aimed at experienced anglers comparing top-end distance, accuracy, blank feel and fish-playing control.
The blank package combines Spiral X Core, Hi-Power X and a Full Carbon Monocoque handle. These technologies are designed to reduce twist, improve power transfer and increase feel, giving the TX Ultra a different character from the lower TX-4A and TX-5A rods.
The line-up is deliberately focused, with 12ft 3lb, 12ft 3.25lb, 12ft Intensity and 13ft Intensity models. The 3lb and 3.25lb rods suit medium and smaller leads, while the Intensity versions are the heavy-lead distance choices for open-water work.
