The Shimano TX-Plus Spod & Marker is built on a full carbon and HPC blank with enough power to cast spods of all sizes, large ones included. Its large tip guide enhances sensitivity when using a marker float, which allows more accurate underwater feature finding.
The blank is stiff, powerful and responsive, an action Shimano describes as right for casting spods, Spombs and marker floats extreme distances. The rod has Seaguide guides with a 50mm starter guide, a Shimano DPS reel seat and a slim shrink handle with an EVA front grip.
It comes in 12ft and 13ft models, and the spod models have a 5lb test curve.
