The Humminbird Piranha MAX 4 Fishfinder pairs Dual Beam sonar with a 4.3-inch colour TFT display. Fish-ID+ uses advanced signal processing for more precise fish imaging than raw sonar, while the screen has 256 colours and a 480 x 272 pixel matrix.
Sonar operates at 200/455kHz, with 28° and 16° coverage and 2.5-inch target separation. The Piranha MAX 4 has 300 watts RMS output for depths up to 600ft. Its transducer includes the built-in temperature feature.
The supplied XNT-9-28-T transducer has a 6m cable and mounts on the transom. The unit fits a gimbal mount or an optional in-dash mount, and takes a 10.8 to 20 VDC supply. On its gimbal, it measures 99 x 186 x 92mm.
