Product Information
Okuma’s Scorpio SP5000-A gives you a 5000-size spinning reel for medium to medium-heavy lure setups. Its quick-set infinite anti-reverse eliminates handle back-play for solid hook sets, while the ported Cyclonic Flow Rotor increases airflow to minimise corrosion.
A corrosion-resistant graphite body and rotor carry the black and purple metal finish. Inside, the machine-cut brass pinion works with Precision Elliptical Gearing and a computer-balanced rotor, while the package includes a machine-cut aluminium spool and graphite spare spool.
The SP5000-A weighs 288g and uses a 5.0:1 ratio to retrieve 76cm of line per turn. Its multi-disc Japanese oiled felt drag reaches 8kg, and the spool holds 240m of 0.30mm mono, 170m of 0.35mm mono or 125m of 0.40mm mono.
