The Sharpes of Aberdeen Ajax is a four-piece trout fly rod with line presentation at the heart of its design. Its multi-modulus carbon blank has a stiff middle-to-tip action and fast recovery, giving it power and control for reservoir fishing from a boat or bank.

High-quality guides, a cork handle and aluminium-and-wood reel seat make up the rod fittings. The graphite dark-blue 10ft #7 model handles floating, intermediate and sinking lines, and arrives in a black Cordura tube with a black rod bag.

It comes as a 9ft #9, a 9ft 6in #7, a 10ft #6 and a 10ft #7, and every model breaks down into four sections. The 10ft #7 model weighs about 120g, while its protective tube measures 86cm long.
