Product Information
Penn designed the Surfblaster III Longcast Reel for surfcasting anglers who need a long-cast fixed-spool reel. Its forged and machined aluminium shallow spool has a conical shape, while the extra-slow oscillation system is there to help it cast further.
The spool also lays line evenly.
Six sealed stainless-steel bearings, including an instant anti-reverse bearing, keep the retrieve smooth under pressure. The reel uses an HT-100 drag system for quick, smooth adjustment, and the large T-knob handle gives you extra comfort and grip when winding in.
A spare deep spool comes with the reel, so you can carry a different line set-up for changing fishing conditions. It is available in 7000 and 8000 sizes; the 7000 has a 4.7:1 gear ratio, while the 8000 has a 13.6kg maximum drag.
