The Penn Battle III Longcast Spin Reel combines CNC Gear technology with HT-100 drag technology for saltwater and freshwater fishing where casting distance matters.
Its slow oscillation lays line evenly, while the forged and machined aluminium Long Stroke spool is made for long casts.
HT-100 carbon fibre drag washers sit within a sealed, smooth drag system. Five sealed stainless steel ball bearings, an instant anti-reverse bearing and a heavy-duty aluminium bail wire complete the reel’s working fittings.
The 8000 size has a 4.0:1 gear ratio, a 30lb maximum drag and a 94cm retrieve rate. It holds 485m of 0.35mm mono, with braid capacities of 540yd/30lb, 420yd/40lb or 400yd/50lb.
