Product Information
Penn’s Rival Longcast Gold is an affordable, versatile long-cast reel for carp, surf and feeder fishing. Its tapered spool works with slow oscillation for distance casting, while 4+1 sealed stainless-steel bearings and instant anti-reverse keep operation smooth under pressure.
A graphite body and machined, braid-ready aluminium spool make the reel strong yet lightweight. The durable handle has a T-shaped knob for extra grip and comfort, and the strong, smooth drag uses a quick-set adjustment.
On the 6000, maximum drag is 17.6lb / 8kg, the ratio is 4.8:1, and braid capacity is 350 yards of 20lb, 250 yards of 30lb or 200 yards of 40lb braid. The 8000 has a 4.3:1 gear ratio and holds 550m of 0.33mm line.
