Nash Titan Hide Camo Pro full system video - YouTube
The Nash Titan Fishing Hide Camo Pro is the smaller Hide Camo Pro rather than the XL, and Nash have upgraded it in every area over the standard Titan Hide, from the centre blocks to the fabric and the front peak. It's a compact fast-erect shelter, 240cm at its widest, 195cm deep and 122cm high, made in Aquasense fabric with a 20,000mm hydrostatic head and finished in Nash's camo.
At 6.5kg and 114cm packed, it's light and short for a shelter this strong, and the vapour shield and four zipped mesh panels make it comfortable to live in. The base shelter doesn't include every infill or groundsheet option, so check what you need, but for mobile carp anglers I think it's one of the best compact shelters going.
The Hide Camo Pro uses Nash's rigid fast-erect Titan frame, which they describe as ultra light but super strong, and this version gets a revised compact centre boss and upgraded centre blocks.
Nash call the Hide Camo Pros the most hardcore Titans they've designed, and on paper the spec backs that up.
The fabric is Aquasense in Nash's camo print, and the camo carries through to the mozzi mesh as well, so the whole shelter blends in on the bank.
Inside there are twin mesh valuables pockets, elastic tie backs for the front storm panels and a hanging hook for a bivvy light or receiver, which is the sort of small detail I like to see.
Compared with the standard Nash Titan Hide, it's a step up in every area, and it gets the same Camo Pro upgrades as the bigger Nash Titan Hide XL Camo Pro. For me it's one of the best-built compact shelters around.
The 20,000mm hydrostatic head on the Aquasense fabric is a top-end figure for a carp shelter, and the front end has been beefed up too.
The extended front bar carries an angled rain peak, a tensioner and a storm gutter, so rain is directed away from the doorway and the front stays taut when the wind picks up.
The rigid frame is the other half of the story, because Nash build the Titan range around strength, and with the upgraded centre blocks and the tensioned front bar I'd expect it to stand up to rough weather better than most shelters of this size.
Condensation is well handled too, because there's a removable camo vapour shield inside to stop drips landing on you and your kit.
The four independently zipped mozzi mesh panels let you open up as much or as little as you want for airflow, which is exactly what I'd want on a muggy night.
Speed is the Hide Camo Pro's big strength, and Nash say it goes up comfortably in less than a minute and call it one of the fastest erecting shelters ever developed, and verified angler reviews talk about it going up within a couple of minutes.
At 6.5kg and 114cm packed, it's light and short enough to carry with the rest of your kit, and that mix of speed and low weight is exactly what I'd want for moving swims.
The 240cm width and 195cm depth give a single angler a sensible amount of space without a big footprint, so it should squeeze into tighter swims too.
To be fair, that compact size is also its limit, because with a 122cm apex you'll be sitting rather than standing inside, and if you want more room for longer sessions, the Nash Titan Hide XL Camo Pro is the better fit.
The Hide Camo Pro costs a good deal more than the standard Nash Titan Hide but only a little less than the XL Camo Pro, and that's what holds its value score back.
The upgrades over the standard Hide cover the centre blocks, the material spec and the front peak profile, but the XL gives you a lot more room for not much more money.
It's also worth checking what's in the box, because the base shelter doesn't come with every infill and groundsheet option, so if you want a complete overnight setup, compare it with the full system before you buy.
It suits carp anglers who fish short sessions and overnighters, move swims often and want a fast, strong shelter that's light to carry. If you tend to settle in one swim for longer sessions, I'd spend a bit more on the XL.
