Nash Titan Hide XL Camo Pro Review
The Nash Titan Hide XL Camo Pro has quickly become one of the most complete shelters I've used when it comes to speed, space, and proper session-ready comfort. I really like how quickly it goes up. That central boss system just locks into place with no fuss, and the extended front with rain peak built in is always an addition I look for in a bivvy.
There's a good amount of space inside. Even with a bedchair and gear, there's enough room to sit upright, keep things tidy, and still feel like you've got breathing space, something that sets this apart from standard one-man bivvies.
The removable camo vapour shield genuinely makes a difference, especially on damp mornings, and the airflow from the four-panel vent system is excellent. The 20,000mm hydrostatic head Aquasense fabric in Nash's camouflage handles both heat and downpours well.
The one niggle is that you need to buy extras like the groundsheet, waterproof infill, or skull cap separately, and that does bump up the total spend more than you might expect. Still, for anglers who want fast setup, solid build quality, and space to stay comfortable on longer sessions, the Titan Hide XL Camo Pro has a lot going for it.
How well is it built?
From the moment you handle the Titan Hide XL Camo Pro, it's clear that Nash have focused on strength and simplicity in equal measure.
The revised centre boss system is compact and reassuringly solid. It feels like it could handle real punishment, and it stands firm on uneven banks and in gusty conditions without any sign of twisting or flexing.
The Aquasense material is robust and well finished, with a 20,000mm hydrostatic head and no loose stitching or signs of corner-cutting.
The frame tension is excellent once everything's clipped in, with the angled peak, tension bar and storm gutter giving good head clearance and runoff for rain.
Little touches like the elastic storm panel tie-backs, twin mesh pockets, camo mosquito mesh and internal hanging hook all feel well thought out. Nothing flimsy, nothing overdesigned.
While you'll need to buy the groundsheet and infill separately, the bivvy as it comes is very much built to last and built for real use.
Stability & Weather Resistance
Stability is a big part of what makes the Titan Hide XL Camo Pro stand out. Once pegged down properly with the supplied T pegs, it feels incredibly secure, thanks to the tension bar and the frame geometry that spreads load evenly across the shelter.
In properly unsettled weather, including heavy overnight rain and stormy gusts, it stays rock solid. The rain peak and storm gutter design make a real difference by pushing water well away from the door.
The venting system is a highlight. Four individually zipped mesh panels give full control over airflow, and even with them all closed there's very little build-up of internal condensation.
When paired with the removable camo vapour shield, it creates a noticeably drier, more stable environment inside.
There's no question this is a proper year-round shelter, especially with the right accessories fitted. Add a skull cap and groundsheet and it handles rough weather as well as some bigger, heavier bivvies.
Ease Of Setup & Portability
This is hands down one of the quickest and easiest shelters I've put up. Nash say under a minute, and from bag to fully pitched really is a couple of minutes once you've got the hang of the frame.
The upgraded centre boss and pivoted leg system just pop into place, and the peak tension bar clicks in securely to give the shelter its shape. There's no wrestling with poles or faffing with awkward alignment.
Despite the extended front and extra headroom, it packs down surprisingly tight. At 132cm long and weighing just 8.4kg, it fits comfortably on a barrow and doesn't eat up space in the boot.
The included camo carry bag is well-vented and has a full zip, which makes stowing and airing off the bivvy far less of a chore after a damp session.
It's quick, compact and genuinely easy to live with, especially for how much usable space you get once it's up.
Is it good value for money?
As a standalone shelter, the Titan Hide XL Camo Pro offers solid performance and smart design at a price that feels fair for its size and quality.
But to get the full experience, including a groundsheet, skull cap, or waterproof infill panel, you'll need to budget for extras. These aren't included as standard, and they can push the total spend quite a bit higher than the base price suggests.
That said, nothing about this bivvy feels cheap or thrown together. It's well built, long lasting, and does the job properly straight out of the bag, even without the add-ons.
If you're after a shelter that gives you quality, space, and flexibility, and you don't mind investing in the accessories over time, this is still a strong value option in the premium one-man category.
