RidgeMonkey Ape-X Continental 2XX is a barbed hook made from super-strong 2XX Japanese Carbon 80 Steel. It uses a forged bend and shank, a straight eye, a straight point and a long needle point, with RM-Tec Gun Metal Coating and a micro barb.

The pattern is intended for demanding carp and specimen fishing applications.

This Continental 2XX pattern is distinct from the standard Chod shape and comes as an ordinary barbed hook in a range of sizes.

The wider 2XX steel specification gives the pattern its heavy-duty identity, while the Ape-X hook point technology was developed through more than two years of testing. Packs contain 10 hooks for rig tying and replacements.
