Nytro tailored the StarkX Specialist as a two-piece all-round rod for river anglers targeting large chub and barbel. It has a test curve of 2.25 to 2.5lb and a line rating of 6 to 15lb (2.7 to 6.8kg).

The semi-fast tapered blank is Nytro's Pure Carbon-Curve, with woven carbon on the handle section. Its black anodised Minima-style guides are ultra-lightweight, and Nytro says they add durability, balance and sensitivity and give greater casting distance and accuracy.

The handle is cork and a hook keeper is fitted.

The rod is 3.60m long and weighs 316g. It has a half-matt black finish with epoxy varnished black guide wrapping and a butt cap with an epoxy logo, and it is supplied in a rod bag.
