The GPS alone makes it worth serious consideration at this price. The Boatman Actor MK4 costs less than half the price and is a brilliant budget option, but it doesn't have GPS. The NDS fills that gap between basic bait delivery and full-tech boats perfectly.

The autopilot unlock at around £199 does dent the value proposition slightly. It's not a deal breaker, but it means the true cost of the full feature set is closer to £850 than the headline £649. That's still competitive, but it's worth factoring in.

The camo finish and hard case are nice touches that add to the perceived value. You feel like you're getting a proper package rather than just a bare boat in a box.

For anglers stepping up from a basic bait boat and wanting GPS capability without spending a grand, the NDS is the obvious choice at this level. It's not the fastest, it's not the longest range, and the build quality is adequate rather than exceptional.
