How well is the Nash Titan T2 built?

The Titan T2 lives up to its name; this thing is built like a tank. The alloy frame is thick, strong, and locks together with a reassuring snap. It doesn't flex or twist under pressure, and once fully set, it feels like a permanent fixture on the bank.

Even after repeated setup and pack down, nothing feels loose or compromised. The vapour shield is stitched well and clips in securely, creating a double-skin effect that cuts down on condensation without feeling claustrophobic.

The rear vent system works hand in hand with it, keeping the internal environment well-balanced across different conditions. The included groundsheet is heavy-duty and clips down tightly.

It’s over 2.5kg on its own, but it feels genuinely protective and fits snug around the inner capsule to stop water and grime getting in. Materials throughout are finished to a high spec.

The main shell is robust, and although it lets in a faint bit of light when the sun is strong behind it, it’s weathered multiple rough weekends without issue. Pegging points, windows, tension bar fittings, everything feels like it’s been engineered with durability in mind.

How does it handle the weather?

The T2 is easily one of the most stable shelters I’ve used in poor weather. Once the storm poles and tension bar are in place, it becomes incredibly rigid, no wobble, no sag, and very little movement, even in gusty conditions.

The peak system helps push rain away from the doorway, and the front bar adds extra structure to the roofline.

That said, I did notice that in heavy sideways rain, a few drips can still work their way in through the front gap unless you letterbox the panel quite high. It’s a minor gripe, but something to be aware of if you fish exposed banks. Rear venting is excellent.

On warmer nights, having those back panels rolled up makes a real difference to airflow, and the capsule design works with the vents to keep things dry and well circulated inside. During long sessions with mixed conditions, the Titan T2 never once felt compromised.

With the vapour shield fitted and the mesh vents positioned right, it genuinely feels like a four-season bivvy.

How easy is it to set up?

For a bivvy of this size, the Titan T2 goes up surprisingly quickly. The frame folds out smoothly and the locking points are intuitive, especially if you’ve used any of the previous Titans.

I had it fully up, capsule, tension bar, storm poles, and pegs, in around 12 to 15 minutes without rushing.

For a two-man shelter with this much structure, that’s more than respectable. It’s worth noting the packdown length is 168cm, which is on the long side. It fits fine on a barrow, but it might be a tight squeeze in smaller vehicles.

The total weight with groundsheet and poles is 16.5kg, so it’s not something you’ll want to carry far by hand. That said, it’s a shelter that rewards a bit of extra effort with loads of room and stability once you’re set up.

If you’re fishing longer sessions or driving close to your swim, it’s an easy one to live with.

Is it good value for money?

This isn’t a cheap shelter, but it’s one where you can feel where the money’s gone.

For the price, you’re getting a fully featured two-man bivvy that includes the heavy-duty groundsheet, internal vapour shield, storm poles, tension bar, and window panels, all packed to a very high standard.

You don’t need to buy bolt-ons just to make it usable, and that alone sets it apart from plenty of other premium shelters.

Everything feels purpose-built and rugged enough for years of use. Still, the T2 is an investment, especially if you only do the odd overnighter.

If you’re regularly fishing longer sessions, travelling abroad, or just want the extra space without compromise, it’s a price worth paying.

Final thoughts

The Nash Titan T2 remains one of the most capable and complete two-man bivvies on the market.

It’s quick to set up, solid in bad weather, and offers the kind of internal space that makes long sessions far more comfortable, especially if you’re fishing with a partner or bringing extra gear.

The included vapour shield and heavy-duty groundsheet give it real year-round potential straight out of the bag. The only real drawbacks are the long packed length and the slightly limited peak coverage in heavy rain.
