Nash Scope GTL 8000 Reel
Product Information
The Nash Scope GTL 8000 uses a long-tapered casting spool with slow oscillation line lay for low-friction release and increased casting distance.
It suits traditional 12ft and 13ft rods as well as 9ft and 10ft Scope and Dwarf models, while its increased capacity supports boat work with rigs positioned hundreds of metres out.
A waterproof sealed clutch with carbon washers works with Fast Drag, moving from free spool to fighting drag in half a turn.
The stainless-steel main shaft and gear assembly, 12 stainless bearings plus one roller bearing, and saltwater-standard engineering provide the reel’s rugged construction, while the dual propulsion line roller reduces twist.
Rubber line guard strips prevent rotor tangles when boating baits out.
At 660g, it has a 4.3:1 gear ratio, 20kg maximum drag and a 96cm retrieve per handle turn. The spool holds 1,040m of 0.26mm line down to 320m of 0.45mm line; its honeycomb construction reduces weight, and a line-friendly casting clip is fitted.
A spring-loaded one-touch folding handle comes with interchangeable black and wooden grips.
