Thinking Anglers' DBX is an eight-strand HPPE braided mainline with a smooth finish, high strength and neutral buoyancy. It is made for spodding and Spombing, feature finding and general fishing, while black fibres are used to retain the dark colour.
The braid is strong and reliable for general use without a shock leader. Its high knot strength is rated with Palomar and Grinner knots, and Thinking Anglers says specialist braid knots can produce higher performance.
It comes on a 300m spool with a 30lb, or 13.6kg, breaking strain. The line has a 0.28mm diameter, and its eight-strand construction is designed for smooth casting.
