The Sonik Vader X is Sonik's higher-end budget-friendly carp rod, UK-made in Northumberland.
It is built on a lightweight, slim armoured carbon blank in gunmetal grey with a progressive action, and is available in 10ft, 12ft and 13ft lengths with 2.75lb, 3lb, 3.25lb and 3.5lb test curves.
It carries a 17mm DPS reel seat suited to big-pit reels, black M-Series DL guides with an anti-frap ceramic tip, and a slim Japanese shrink-wrap butt grip with a laser-etched anodised butt cap. Models of 3lb and above use a 50mm butt guide; smaller models use 40mm.
