For perch and zander fishing, the Skeater Realist 5K Reel also suits pike and other medium to large freshwater predators. It balances with stalking and medium-power spinning rods.

Its S-curve oscillation system cross-winds line onto the spool during the retrieve, helping prevent bedding-in under drag pressure so line comes away freely for longer, more accurate casts.

A nylon-reinforced body carries a stainless steel main shaft, 5+1 ball bearings and a one-way clutch for instant anti-reverse and improved hook-setting power.

The 5.1:1 gearing retrieves 96cm per handle turn, while the drag is rated to 11kg or 24.2lb. Its spool takes 350m of 0.30mm line, and the precision-machined aluminium handle has a T-shaped rubber grip for control when playing fish.
