Shimano Aero Technium MgS Reel XTD 14000

Product Information

For long-range carp fishing, Shimano’s Aero Technium MgS XTD 14000 combines a 45mm long-stroke spool with Super Slow 10 oscillation.

The longer spool gives line more surface to sit on, reducing friction and drag during casting, while the oscillation system lays between 95 and 110 layers in one cycle. Parallel Body keeps the rod and reel aligned to reduce line slap on the bank.

A magnesium Hagane body adds rigidity and impact protection, while X Protect channels water away from the line roller.

Silent Drive reduces handle play, unwanted movement and noise, and Infinity Drive supports the main shaft with a sliding bush and special coating to reduce resistance when winding.

The cold-forged Hagane gear adds strength, and the single-piece titanium bail arm guides line to the roller.

At 495g, this 14000 reel has a 4.3:1 ratio, an 8+1 bearing arrangement and 20kg maximum drag. Its ARC spool lip is shaped to help prevent backlashes and wind knots, while the smooth drag is made to handle heavy loads.

Line capacity is 550m of 0.35mm, 400m of 0.40mm or 300m of 0.45mm line, and 10000 and 6000 spool reducers are supplied.
