Nash Twister Long Shank X Hooks take the Twister square-bend pattern and stretch the shank, which is what makes them sit so well in a Slip D.

The X marks the stronger build: wire gauge and eye diameter step up incrementally through the sizes, so the hook keeps its shape under load from heavy braid and stiff hooklink materials.

It is a pattern meant for bigger carp and the sort of extreme, high-pressure venues where a finer wire would start to open out.

That wider eye earns its keep when you are tying with thicker hooklink, and it takes a lot of the fiddle out of building a neat Slip D. Sizes 2, 4 and 6 cover the usual long-shank presentations, each packet holds ten hooks, and the pattern runs micro-barbed.
