The Korda LongChuck Tapered Mainline Green is a tapered mono line for long-range fishing straight through without a leader knot. Its green finish gives anglers a coloured alternative to clear line, while avoiding weed collecting around a leader knot near the rod tip.
The 300m spool has an 8m section of 0.47mm, 30lb line at each end to take the force of the cast, followed by a 2m taper to the mainline diameter. The line is lightweight for its breaking strain and has a high breaking-strain-to-diameter ratio to reduce drag.
Ultra-low stretch helps compress the rod, while low water absorption is part of the line’s construction. Both ends are the same, so after a cut-off it can be reversed on the spool and used again. It comes in 10-30lb, 12-30lb and 15-30lb breaking strains.
