Korda Basix Wide Gape Hooks are an all-round carp pattern for bottom baits, pop-ups and wafters.

Their aggressive in-turned eye helps the hook turn and take hold without needing an added kicker or shrink tube, while the familiar wide-gape shape suits a broad choice of straightforward rigs. They are designed to be tied on and used straight from the packet.

Strong X gauge wire provides the backbone, with a low-key black nickel finish and a durable point. Barbed and barbless versions are available in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8, with ten hooks in each packet.

As with any carp hook, check the point before each cast and change it if the sharpness has been compromised.
