Product Information

The Guru Aventus SR Light Feeder Rods are Steve Ringer feeder rods for natural-water silverfish work, with enough backbone for short-range commercial carp, F1s and match-sized fish. They are not distance rods; the emphasis is lightness, sensitivity and control.

The range is commonly seen in 10ft, 11ft and 12ft versions. The 10ft model is a two-piece rod rated 1-40g, while the 11ft model is rated 1-50g. The 12ft version steps up for longer lines and is commonly shown as a three-piece rod with a higher casting rating.

Guru uses Zero90 Super Tensile Carbon to keep the blank slim and progressive. That is the right character for light feeder work because the rod still needs casting accuracy, but it also needs to cushion hook holds on skimmers, roach and small carp.

The RJD joint system is used with spigot joints to create a more natural curve through the blank. Fuji K anti-tangle guides help reduce line wrapping around the butt guide when casting with thinner mono or braid.
