Fox Wide Gape Straight Hooks are wide-gape carp hooks with a long, needle-sharp straight point and an aggressive 25-degree in-turned eye. The eye encourages the hook to turn and catch hold, while the straight point is designed to catch quickly.
They are intended for both bottom-bait and pop-up presentations. Arma Point technology, a non-reflective dark coating and strong yet lightweight XC80 Vanadium forged steel provide the construction.
The short shank gives the pattern an aggressive hooking angle for modern anti-eject rigs. Ordinary sizes are available from 2 through 8 in the barbed range, while barbless size 6 and 8 are also available.
Each pack contains 10 hooks, so the pattern works well as a dependable supply for tying bottom-bait and pop-up rigs in different sizes.
