5 Things To Know

A 12ft Fox floater rod built for surface fishing rather than heavy lead work.
The 2.25lb test curve is lighter than standard carp rods, giving more cushion on light lines.
Its 8.1 scores are level across build, casting/feel, playing fish and value, so there is no single weak sub-score.
The surface-fishing role means it is for controller work and summer floater sessions, not heavy leads.
It is featured in our best surface fishing rods for carp guide as a dedicated floater option.

Product Information

The Fox Horizon X3 Floater Fishing Rod is a dedicated 12ft surface-fishing rod, not a heavy lead or distance carp rod. Its lighter 2.25lb test curve is aimed at controller-float work, summer floater fishing and playing carp on lighter lines.

It uses the Horizon X3 high-modulus carbon family as its base, with a full cork handle, Fox SLIK guides, an anti-frap tip guide and an 18mm DPS-style reel seat.
