ESP built the Onyx Spod & Marker on a high modulus blank with a progressive action and long range power, and it reaches maximum compression and distance with spods of 5 to 7oz. Heavier loads can be delivered at shorter range.
Used with braid as a marker or feature finding rod, the responsive tip feeds information back to the hand.
The rod has a 50mm SiC butt ring and a 16mm anti-frap tip guide. It has an unground carbon finish with subtle branding, and it was tested over a two year period.
