The Drennan Acolyte Plus Feeder Rods are stepped-up Acolyte feeders for anglers who need more power than the lighter Ultra models while keeping a slim, refined playing action. The range is aimed at quality fish on commercials, stillwaters and rivers rather than ultra-light skimmer work.

The 12ft Plus is the most powerful model in the family and is designed for medium-to-long-range work with feeders up to 60g. It gives the reach and casting control needed for bream, tench, chub, F1s and carp.

Shorter Plus models suit closer commercial work where a normal light feeder can feel undergunned. Across the range, the parabolic playing action is there to cushion fish rather than lock up under the rod tip.

The supplied 1.5oz, 2oz and 2.5oz carbon tips cover a practical spread of bite indication. Stand-off SiC guides and a full cork handle give the rods a more premium, purposeful feel. This is a good upgrade for anglers who like the Acolyte feel but want extra reserve.

It is not the same job as an extreme-distance feeder or a heavy barbel rod, but it does give refined power for quality coarse fish on demanding stillwater pegs and rivers when room allows it comfortably.
