Gardner’s Retention Weigh Sling temporarily retains and weighs fish without moving them between a separate sling and sack where a sack is permitted.

It can hold a fish while you prepare camera equipment, and lets it recover in the water before or after weighing, treatment and photography.

Large soft mesh panels allow water exchange around the fish, while solid upper side panels cut light penetration to help keep it calm. Single-piece solid composite poles are strong and lightweight, and floats provide buoyancy to keep the sling on the surface.

A full-length zip secures the fish inside the sling, with a 4m retaining cord and 3/8 BSF clip for attaching it to a standard bankstick. Hi-Vis reflective bands show its position in low light, although they appear vividly in flash photography.

It measures 130cm long by 60cm deep and weighs approximately 3lb 4oz when wet.
