Product Information
The Stealth Graphex is the flagship rod in the Century carp range, designed and manufactured at Century's UK factory.
The Abbreviated is the traditional build, with an abbreviated shrink rubber handle and a Century carbon reel seat with bespoke matt black metal hoods and lock rings.
Century says it is slightly lighter overall than the full shrink handle build because of the weight saved in the shrink rubber and the carbon reel seat.
The blank uses one of the highest modulus carbons available, reinforced with a Graphene resin system, which lets Century use less material and make the blank lighter while keeping high strength and toughness.
Parts are autoclaved under pressure during heat curing to give a more compact carbon wall free of air bubbles and voids.
The carbon patterns are cut by computer controlled machines and laid at angles that change along the blank's taper, giving high resistance to torsional load and twist.
The guides have black titanium frames with thin, lightweight Torzite SiC liners, and the titanium flexes with the blank while saving weight. The 12ft rod has a 3.5lb test curve.
The Abbreviated is also made in 12ft at 3lb, 3.25lb and 3.75lb, in 13ft at 3.5lb, and there is a 12ft Spod & Marker model.
