Product Information
Century designed the Spodding Marker as an application rod for delivering small or medium size spods, with enough responsiveness in the tip section for use with a marker float. It performs best with a suggested casting ratio of 3-6oz.
The materials and technical design are based on Century's C2-D Spod and C2-D Marker rods, made as a shorter 12ft rod with a lower diameter butt section that is a bit easier to compress.
The blank is autoclave cured in Century's UK factory to remove air from the carbon wall, which resists test curve decay so the rod keeps casting like new after hundreds or thousands of casts. The butt section is 1k carbon.
The tip section has a short piece of 1k carbon at the joint, with the rest finished in UD carbon ground to a matt finish.
A full length Japanese shrink rubber handle maintains grip and is easy to clean down. The 1k carbon reel seat has standard DPS hoods for maximum compatibility with reels, the guides are Century SiC in size 50-16, and a black tipping 12 inches above the reel seat aids measuring.
