Product Information
For modern carp angling, Avid’s Ex-Cast 12000 is a lightweight big-pit reel with a graphite body and cover, reinforced hollow rotor and stainless-steel main shaft.
Its satin-black finish has gloss-black detailing, while super-slow oscillation lays the line evenly across the spool.
A cold-forged, double-anodised aluminium spool pairs with a line-friendly clip, oversized anti-twist line roller and bail-arm rotor lock. The machined aluminium handle carries a soft-touch knob, and the reel runs on 5+1 stainless-steel ball bearings.
Its rapid front drag moves from locked-up to free spool in under half a turn, backed by instant anti-reverse and a 4.6:1 gear ratio. At 574g, the supplied spool takes 330m of 0.40mm line, 420m of 0.35mm line or 520m of 0.30mm line.
