For modern carp fishing, the Avid Revolve 8000FD is a lightweight big-pit reel with a durable graphite body and rotor. Its matt black finish has gloss black detailing, while the slow-oscillation worm-shaft system lays line evenly for improved casting distance.
A rapid front drag lets you make quick adjustments, and the twin line-friendly clips help with accurate casting. An oversized anti-twist line roller sits alongside instant anti-reverse, while the black anodised aluminium handle has a soft-touch knob for winding.
The 4.6:1 gearing works with 5 + 1 stainless steel ball bearings for smooth, controlled operation. At 550g, it carries 230m of 0.40mm, 300m of 0.35mm or 410m of 0.30mm line on its anodised aluminium spool; standard and deep spare spools are available separately.
