The Sonik Turbospod Carbon 14000 is a spod reel that combines a lightweight carbon body and rotor with a heavily machined spool, hard-anodised aluminium main shaft and wormdrive gear.
This construction reduces weight for effortless spodding without compromising strength or speed, and the silk-black finish has gloss detailing.
Its ultra-fast 5.7:1 gear ratio retrieves 1.45m of line per handle turn for rapid baiting at range. The shallow-cast spool suits popular spodding braids, while super-slow oscillation produces consistent line lay.
The Quick-Torque drag can be removed with the supplied conversion kit to reduce weight further. Triple captive line clips and an EZ line-entry system sit alongside a floating rotor line guard, oversized twist-free line roller and open-bail rotor lock.
A CNC aluminium handle and a protective finger stall complete the reel. It has 8+1 shielded stainless-steel bearings, 18kg of drag power and weighs 499 to 529g depending on configuration.
