Sonik’s Herox FRS is a dual-drag free-spool reel for anglers who want large line capacity and reliability in tough fishing conditions.
Its independent rear free-spool drag has micro adjustment for smooth line release, then disengages quickly and positively with a turn of the handle.
A wormshaft transmission lays the line evenly, with micro line-lay adjustment washers, while the floating rotor line guard and oversized twist-free roller help prevent tangles.
The graphite body and rotor carry a sleek matt-black finish, with instant anti-reverse and twin spring-loaded captive clips for accurate casting.
Both sizes use a 4.6:1 gear ratio, 5 + 1 ball bearings and a matt-black anodised aluminium handle with a rubber grip. The 8000 weighs 624g and retrieves up to 1.02m per turn; the 10000 weighs 652g, retrieves up to 1.10m per turn and has 18kg drag power.
Spool capacity is 0.30mm/700m, 0.35mm/500m or 0.40mm/400m. It comes in 8000 and 10000 sizes.
