Made in Japan, Shimano Kairiki 8 is an eight-carrier PE braid on a 300m spool for spinning in fresh and saltwater. Shimano's VT Construction Method braiding technology is used in the line. Its strong, smooth finish is made for long-distance casting.
The smooth, low-diameter construction has low water resistance for jigging. Maximum stretch below 3% keeps the braid sensitive for that approach. Its smoothness also reduces noise, and Shimano identifies it as highly sensitive for spinning.
The Green 300m line comes in 0.215, 0.23, 0.28, 0.315, 0.35 and 0.42mm diameters, with breaking strains up to 46.7kg. Shimano also makes it in Steel Grey, Yellow and Multi Colour, which is intended for fishing at greater depths.
