An eight-strand PE construction gives Berkley Sick Braid Red a smooth, round profile for long casting and lure control. Its low-stretch construction is designed for sensitivity, while high knot strength keeps knots secure.
Nano coating with microcrystalline polymer provides abrasion resistance and extreme smoothness through the rod guides. Berkley designed the braid for pike, zander, perch and trout, including jigging, soft lure fishing and other spinning techniques.
Red 150m spools come in 0.08mm, 0.10mm, 0.19mm and 0.23mm diameters, with breaking strains from 13lb to 52lb. The 0.08mm diameter is rated to 6.0kg, while 0.23mm is rated to 23.6kg.
