Shakespeare Salt Surf Reel
Product Information
For beach anglers casting past the breakers, the Shakespeare Salt Surf Reel combines a large-capacity surf spool with a spare spool. It comes in 70 and 80 surf sizes, covering two popular sizes for this style of fishing.
Its lightweight anodised aluminium spool works with a smooth, strong drag system that can be locked down for casting. Seven plus one stainless-steel ball bearings and strong gearing keep the reel running smoothly, while the anti-twist line roller handles mono and braid.
At 600 g, the 70 has 4.8:1 gearing, a 66 cm retrieve and 8 kg maximum drag. The 760 g 80 has 4.3:1 gearing, a 93 cm retrieve and 0.35 mm/320 m line capacity; both reels are supplied with a spare graphite spool.
