The Scientific Anglers Air Cel Orange is the original modern floating fly line for trout or grayling in streams, rivers and lakes. Its weight-forward profile casts dry flies, nymphs and streamers, while a mid-length head covers general fishing situations.
A braided multifilament core sits inside the line, and its flotation and durability are dependable. A raised bump in the handling section indicates the ideal place to begin the cast.
It comes in 4, 5 and 6 weights. Soap and water on a cloth removes most dirt, while a cleaning pad can also be used by drawing the line through its abrasive non-foam side under tension. Clean it every two to three outings, or when dirt hinders performance.
