The RidgeMonkey Escape FQ1 is a modular one-person bivvy that can be stripped back for quick overnighters or set up for longer sessions.
Quick-lock elbow joints and a central boss let you deploy and fold it in seconds, while the removable front panel changes it from an open brolly-style shelter to a fully enclosed bivvy.
Its 150D HydroX outer and tape-sealed blackout lining provide weather protection, privacy and reduced sunlight inside.
Adaptive front, side and rear vents can be fully open, partly open or covered with insect mesh, while heavy-duty zips with water-repelling baffles can be adjusted from inside or outside.
A removable skullcap adds a twin-skin layer, improving thermal efficiency in cold weather and encouraging airflow when it is warmer; its peak and rain gutter guide water away from the entrance.
The PVC groundsheet insulates from cold ground, while the foldback entrance keeps muddy footwear sheltered. Two quick-release storm poles extend from 120 to 200cm.
