Penn’s Fathom Electric Reel Kit brings electric winding to the Fathom II Lever Drag platform for sea anglers.
Its integrated, replaceable lithium-ion battery keeps the reel free of external power cords, while the 12V system is sealed to IPX6 around the motor and battery compartments.
A brushless motor supplies up to 40lb of winding power and variable speed control for rigs from chicken rigs to sailfish kites.
Entering line diameter into the digital counter drives the autostop function for hands-free retrieval, with an override when you want to control the speed yourself.
A line guide lets knots and swivels pass through, and the freespool tension knob helps prevent overruns. The push-button backup handle remains ready if needed. It comes in 30, 50 and 80 sizes, and the kit includes a reel, 5Ah battery and single charger.
