Product Information

The Korum Axis II Front Drag Reel is a compact fixed-spool reel built around mixed float and feeder fishing. Korum keeps the range to 3000 and 4000 sizes, which makes the product easy to place on lighter float rods, pellet waggler setups and general coarse feeder rods.

The design uses a reinforced nylon body and rotor with an anodized aluminium spool and handle. That gives the reel a practical weight and strength balance, with 3+1 stainless steel bearings supporting a smooth feel during regular casting and winding.

A 5.2:1 gear ratio and 6kg maximum drag put it firmly in all-round coarse territory. The 3000 capacity is listed as 0.26mm/230m or 0.23mm/290m, while the 4000 capacity is 0.28mm/250m or 0.26mm/290m. Korum also lists a stainless steel bail wire, ABS body reinforcement, wool and carbon fibre drag washers, a zinc drive gear and brass pinion gear. The machined handle with soft-touch knob is a useful touch when winding regularly from a clipped distance.

That balance makes it more versatile than a dedicated match reel while staying smaller than most distance feeder models. The 3000 is the cleaner float-fishing option, while the 4000 gives more line capacity for pellet waggler, specimen float or feeder work. This is a practical crossover reel, not a specialist distance feeder or tiny match reel.
